The Buzz: Starry, Starry Night with Kelly Clinton

Celebrity guest,  Actor/singer/songwriter, Clifton Davis
with the sensational Kelly Clinton

Week after week the sensational entertainer,
Kelly Clinton, brings “Vintage Vegas” into the 21st Century with her show, Kelly Clinton’s Open Mic Cabaret at the Bootlegger Bistro. The Cabaret is open to all entertainers:   headliners, veteran performers, musicians, variety acts ---and new talent. Kelly Clinton presents a fantastic evening of entertainment every Monday night that includes many of the top acts in Las Vegas and even some of
the biggest stars in show biz.
And, just like back in the days when Frank Sinatra, members of the Rat Pack, Louis Prima, and other great Vegas acts got together for an ‘after the show’ jam, today‘s entertainers get together at Kelly’s  Cabaret to perform for the sheer enjoyment of sharing the stage.
You just never know who will show up for the gig or who might be out in the crowd watching the show. What you can be sure of is, there’s not another a show like it in town.
Kelly Clinton’s Cabaret night is always an entertainment blast!!!

R to L, Clifton Davis, his wife, Monica Durant,
and Clint Holmes
Last Monday evening was really one for the history books!
The big celebrity surprise guest was none other than the fantastic Actor/singer/songwriter, Clifton Davis, who is probably best recognized as the star of the long running television show, “Amen.” Clifton was with his beautiful wife, Monica Durant, and our own favorite Vegas headliner, Clint Holmes. Oh what a night!!! It was Clifton’s birthday and it turned out to be one heck of a surprise celebration for the star ---and for everyone else in the room!!!

Kelly Clinton kicks off the show

Before letting on about the big surprise guest, an excited Kelly Clinton kicked off the show rockin’ out with the band on the upbeat tune, “I Want You Back.” Sitting in with Kelly's band were musicians, Mikole Kaar on sax, and Allan deVille on trumpet. That hot performance launched an 'unbelievable' evening of top-notch entertainment that Kelly put together as a special tribute for Clifton Davis.

The fabulous line up started off with singer/musician, Kc Cousin, followed by Clint Holmes with his musical director, Jeff Neiman, ---then came the star of “Menopause the Musical,” Skye Dee Miles.
The awesome singer, Lannie Counts was up next followed by a terrific act, ventriloquist and hired hand, Steve & Jack. Then came Clifton’s old friend, singer Irma Kaye who belted out the “Happy Birthday” tune. At that point, Clifton Davis himself stepped up to perform at the piano!! Tony Drake was on guitar and it turns out he and Clifton worked together in a band ‘back in the day.’
